I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and now live in East Lawrencetown, Nova Scotia with my wife and son.

I served 17-years in the Canadian Armed Forces, first as an Infantry Officer, followed by eight-years in the Canadian Special Operations Forces. I was honoured to lead incredible Canadian service members on multiple deployments to Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Middle East. In 2019, I retired from the military as a Major.

After my military service, I had the privilege of leading the team at Farnam Street Media as the CEO.

My educational background includes: a BA in Military and Strategic Studies from the Royal Military College of Canada, the Ivey Executive Program at the Ivey Business School, and in 2016 I was selected as the first international student to attend the U.S. Army’s Eisenhower Leadership Development Program at Columbia University where I received an MA in Social-Organizational Psychology.

Other pursuits:

I write poetry and serve as a Contributing Editor for Canada’s Poetry Magazine, Arc Poetry. I volunteer as a leader development mentor with RMC's Athena Mentorship Network. And, I steward protected lands as a Wilderness Property Guardian for the Nova Scotia Nature Trust.

As a coach, consultant, and educator, my professional passion is helping leaders and teams thrive.
